Business Intelligence Data Analyst

About the Role

This role is part of the Data Intelligence team, a centralized function supporting the broader organization through data-driven insights and analysis. The position carries meaningful ownership and accountability, reports to the Data Intelligence Lead Analyst, and is responsible for delivering decision-grade reporting, partnering with stakeholders on KPIs and analytical solutions, improving data quality in collaboration with Data Engineering, and leading self-service BI communications and training.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models supporting business functions

• Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into actionable reporting solutions

• Ensure data accuracy and consistency by validating source data, monitoring report outputs, and documenting assumptions and definitions

• Collaborate with Data Engineering to define analytical requirements and contribute to the design of optimized data models and transformation logic

• Support self-service BI users through communications, collateral, and training materials

• Document KPI definitions, data lineage, and reporting assumptions to support consistency and self-service analytics

• Identify opportunities to automate manual reporting processes and improve refresh reliability

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience in business intelligence, analytics, or data roles

• Proficiency in SQL, including techniques such as CTEs and window functions for dataset manipulation

• Familiarity with dimensional data modeling and data warehouse concepts

• Proficiency in Power BI (DAX, data modeling, Power Query, and dashboard design)

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and time management skills with the ability to work independently on multiple projects

• Experience collaborating across technical and business teams; ability to translate analytical findings into business insights
