Business Intelligence Analyst

The Business Intelligence Analyst supports data excellence, reporting, and analytical capabilities across Red Bull Australia. This role combines technical proficiency with analytical thinking to build, maintain, and improve sales reporting tools, depletions data, and field analytics systems. It involves a strong focus on data integrity, visual storytelling, and cross-functional stakeholder support.

DATABASE MANAGEMENT

• Set up and maintain automated processes to collect, validate, and process data from distributor partners and field systems. 

• Conduct regular validation and cleansing of duplicate accounts and customer attributes within the master data to ensure ongoing accuracy and compliance with data standards. 

• Assess the reliability of incoming data and apply segmentation logic in alignment with global guidelines. 

• Build and maintain data pipelines supporting depletions, availability tracking, and customer hierarchies. 

 

REPORTING & INSIGHTS

• Analyse sales, distribution, and availability data across national, state, and account levels to identify trends and performance insights. 

• Build and maintain BI dashboards and visualisations for use across sales, category, and field teams. 

• Apply appropriate analytical techniques to solve business problems and support commercial decisions. 

• Contribute to quarterly and annual business reviews by preparing relevant data analyses and reports. 

 

VISUALISATION & COMMUNICATION

• Create clear, visually engaging reports and presentations that highlight commercial opportunities. 

• Support sales teams with ad-hoc data queries, report creation, and integration of internal and external data sources. 

• Translate technical outputs into actionable insights for key stakeholders 

 

GOVERNANCE & TRAINING

• Document key BI processes and contribute to training materials for key users. 

• Support local and international system rollouts as a technical point of contact. 

• Collaborate with global BI, Data Science, and Data Engineering teams on system updates, testing, and enhancements. 

• Tertiary educated in Computer Science, Analytics, Data Science, IT or similar. Paired with 2+ years of professional experience in Data Analytics or related fields 
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, transformation, and ETL processes, along with advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills
• Experience using PowerBI/Tableau or other data visualisation tool (experience using Snowflake, Alteryx One or SAP Analytics Cloud highly regarded)
• Relationship skills with experience working across functional teams and the ability to communicate with all levels of business management
• Exceptional communication skills, enabling you to present data in a meaningful way
