Business Intelligence Analyst

Position Objective:

This position is a client facing role working closely with customers to understand, define, and produce reporting requirements including prototypes. Once requirements are defined and approved, the position is responsible for analyzing data and developing analytic reporting/data submission solutions. These solutions are utilized for in-depth evaluation and support of business decisions and processes.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Provides support to analysts and decision support users throughout the organization. Coordinates resolution of operational issues between the assigned applications and system support personnel.

2. Assists with training IS personnel in the use of system functionality and standards.

3. Act as a resource for other IS staff on technical issues.

4. Assists end users with the use of the Data Warehouse. Communicate appropriately with end users to understand their needs. Proceeds with appropriate actions that include requirements documentation, design and use.

5. Maintains the proper use of storage by making sure that databases and transaction logs are created correctly, space requirements are monitored, and adding new storage space when required.

6. Performing Data Investigation and Extraction using advanced SQL through a variety of reporting tools, including raw SQL Queries, SQL Server Reporting Services and live reporting tools such as Crystal and QlikView/QlikSense. Develop SQL stored procedures, scripts and other administration utilities and install SQL Server upgrades and patches when necessary.

7. Investigate complex table structures to identify data relationships and the location of required data, and validate accuracy of the results.

8. Utilize Advanced Analytics and Technologies transforming raw data into information with appropriate business context and opportunities. This includes advanced ETL, data modeling, and planning for effective information delivery methods including ad-hoc, standard reports, dashboards, scorecards, and data visualizations. Monitor the receipt of data from various medical systems to a centralized data repository to ensure data accuracy and completeness.

9. Enhance existing reports, build additional reports, and engage in data validation and error management practices.

10. Responsible for planning, installation, setup, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of servers that make up the data warehouse and other RDBMS Systems as assigned. Ensure that information is available as needed in a timely fashion and is accurate, valid and reliable.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related disciplines preferred or equivalent business intelligence experience in lieu of a degree.

Required Minimum Experience:

• Must have 3 years in database management, development, and design and report development. Must be familiar with T-SQL, SSIS and SSRS.
• Experience with Epic Clarity 2018 preferred.
• Prior experience working with Crystal Reports and QlikView/QlikSense preferred.

Required License/Certifications:

• None

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

SQL query development, Report Development, Project Management (Agile), and Knowledge of Healthcare systems, and Epic.

Light work. Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Pay Range
$75,173.68—$112,760.51 USD
