This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 3500000 - Rs 4500000 (ie INR 35-45 LPA)

Min Experience: 10 years

Location: Mumbai

JobType: full-time

The perfect applicant should have over 10 years of experience in banks, non-banking financial companies (NBFCs), asset management companies (AMCs), or financial services platforms, with a proven track record of successfully developing a loan against securities (LAS) portfolio of ₹200–400 crore.


Requirements:
Key Responsibilities

Business Strategy & Growth

• Take full P&L ownership of the LAS business, achieving ambitious targets for AUM growth, profit margins, and overall profitability.
• Formulate and implement the go-to-market strategy for various customer segments, including Retail HNI, Corporate, and Distribution-led markets.
• Discover new asset classes (such as Mutual Funds, Shares, Bonds, Insurance policies, etc.) and design lending products tailored to them.

Distribution & Partnerships

• Enhance multi-channel distribution through direct digital methods, D2C, B2B2C, wealth aggregators, brokers, and insurance companies.
• Establish strategic alliances with custodians, RTAs, AMCs, insurers, and wealth technology platforms.
• Recruit and oversee lending partners (NBFCs/Banks) while negotiating favorable commercial agreements.

Product & Technology Integration

• Collaborate with Product and Technology teams to create a smooth digital experience from onboarding to disbursement.
• Promote automation and enhance operational efficiency in areas such as credit assessment, documentation, and collections.

Risk, Compliance & Governance

• Collaborate with lending partners and risk teams to define credit policies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including RBI and SEBI requirements for secured lending.
• Develop robust Management Information Systems (MIS), reporting mechanisms, and audit trails to ensure transparency and governance.

Team Leadership

• Build and mentor a high-performing, cross-functional team encompassing sales, credit, operations, and analytics.
• Cultivate a culture focused on performance and results within the business unit.
