Job Overview:
RBA Builders is seeking a motivated Business Development Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional ready to take on increased responsibility while further developing their expertise in client relations, market growth, and strategic outreach.
This role is ideal for a proactive and relationship-focused individual who enjoys identifying new business opportunities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and playing an active role in supporting the growth and success of commercial construction projects and partnerships.
Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and industry partners to support new business opportunities.
• Identify, research, and track potential projects while coordinating with the Estimating Department on bid opportunities and proposals.
• Assist with the preparation of presentations, prequalification packages, resumes, and marketing materials.
• Coordinate with internal departments to gather project information and ensure timely submission of required documentation.
• Attend networking events, trade shows, and client meetings to represent RBA Builders professionally and promote company services.
• Conduct market research and monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to support business development strategies.
• Maintain awareness of client confidentiality requirements, safety standards, and company policies when supporting business development efforts.
• Manage multiple tasks, schedules, and communications while supporting day-to-day administrative and operational activities.
Education, Experience, and Requirements:
• Associate degree in related field and/or 2-3 years of combined education and experience in the construction industry or production environment.
• Strong process improvement and data entry experience.
• Valid California driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check for badging purposes at all aerospace facilities if needed.
• Excellent writing skills and command of grammar.
• Tech-savvy, strong computer skills.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strong familiarity with networking & social media sites.
Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent organization and time management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and business development software/tools
• Strong problem-solving, research, and analytical skills
Certifications:
Procore Project Management Certified (preferred, not required)
LEED Green Associate (preferred)
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 (preferred)
Working Conditions:
This role involves both office and site locations.
Physical demands include walking, standing, and occasional lifting.
The position requires visits to construction sites, including wearing appropriate safety PPE.
