Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per annum + Commission

The Business Development - Drones role at the Hoskin Group drives growth by supporting existing accounts and acquiring new business within a specified territory. Focused on expanding our market presence in unmanned inspection solutions, this role covers fixed-wing and rotary drones, unmanned ground vehicles, LiDAR, GNSS, GIS, total stations, and advanced payloads. As Canada’s leading drone and 3D scanning product supplier, our team seeks a dynamic sales professional who is passionate about drones and skilled in building strong customer relationships, contributing to our continued industry leadership.
Principal Accountabilities

Work safely and in alignment with all health and safety regulations.
Consistently meet or exceed established sales goals for new business development, contributing to revenue growth and market expansion.
Maintain and nurture relationships with existing clients, ensuring ongoing satisfaction, addressing concerns promptly, and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products and services.
Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals, ensuring a seamless and efficient process that enhances customer experience and maximizes conversion rates.
Conduct in-depth demonstrations of our drone products, effectively communicating their features, benefits, and competitive advantages to potential clients, both in-person and through virtual platforms.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences, delivering compelling product presentations and engaging with industry professionals to expand the company's network and market presence.
Regularly collaborate with the sales manager to discuss the current sales pipeline, strategize on opportunities, and develop action plans to address challenges and achieve sales objectives.
Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in the drone sector to provide informed recommendations and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
Gather and analyze client feedback to inform product development and improve service offerings, ensuring customer needs and expectations are met or exceeded
Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status, providing regular reports to management to inform decision-making and strategy adjustments.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and organizational goals.
Requirements & Skills
Advanced or basic pilot license from Transport Canada is considered an ASSET. (The license can be acquired upon hiring. To obtain an advanced or basic pilot license from Transport Canada you must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.)
Two (2) years of sales experience.
Experience with Drone Equipment is considered an ASSET.
A Drivers License is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and French
Exceptional organizational abilities, ensuring efficient task management and prioritization.
Excellent time management skills, maintaining productivity, and meeting deadlines in a dynamic work setting.
Advanced problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues.
Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and in a team environment to meet or exceed goals.
Highly tech-savvy, with a keen interest in emerging technologies within the Drones and Geomatics industry.
Socially adept and customer-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong client relationships.
Working Conditions
Environment: Office/Lab environment and physical presence from Monday to Friday at our Montreal Location.
There is currently an option to work a 4-day work week to be scheduled with your manager. Management reserves the right to adjust based on business requirements.
Disruption to Lifestyle: Regular travel is required up to 50% of the time.
