YOUR MISSION

You will be at the heart of Glovo's Global Logistics and Operations team, owning the data work behind how we design, test, and optimize the order compensation structures that reward our riders across 23 countries. This is one of the highest impact areas in the company, rider payments are our largest operational cost, and every model you build or experiment you run translates directly into business outcomes at scale.

The environment is fast moving. Priorities shift, ad hoc requests come in regularly, and you will often need to deliver sharp analysis. If you thrive in that kind of setting and want your work to have real, measurable impact, this is the role for you.

THE JOURNEY

• Model and redesign rider payment structures to improve engagement and operational efficiency. Factoring in distance, vehicle type, weight, time of day, and other key drivers.

• You will be using SQL to query large datasets to surface trends, answer business questions quickly, and build the analytical foundation for strategic decisions.

• Leverage AI in your workflow. You will actively incorporate AI tools (agents, copilots, and LLM-assisted analysis) into your day to day work to move faster and work smarter.

• Monitor and iterate. Track KPIs, spot anomalies, and make data driven adjustments on an ongoing basis.

• Translate findings into action. You will regularly present insights to non technical stakeholders and need to be concise and convincing.

• Improve how we work. Identify inefficiencies in current analytical processes and workflows, and drive improvements in how we track, update, and execute changes to payment parameters at scale.

• Design and run experiments to validate setting changes before global rollout. You will be exposed to the full cycle: design, execution, and analysis.

• Understand the courier perspective to ensure models are fair, locally relevant, and operationally sound.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

• Degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or another STEM field.

• 1+ years in a data analytics role where your work directly influenced business decisions. Not just reporting, but analysis that drove action.

• SQL fluency is a must. You write complex queries comfortably, fast, and independently. This is your primary tool.

• Python familiarity (pandas, basic scripting) is a plus. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be able to manipulate data and automate simple tasks.

• Hands-on experience with AI tools. You already use copilots, agents, or LLM assisted workflows in your day to day. Not occasionally, but as a natural part of how you work.

• Exposure to data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, PowerBI) for building and maintaining dashboards.

• Strong problem solving instincts. You can take an ambiguous question, break it down, and drive toward a clear, defensible answer without waiting to be told exactly how.

• Experience with experimentation (A/B testing, switchback tests, or similar) is a big plus.

• You communicate clearly to both technical and non technical audiences. Fluent English is required.

• You take ownership, manage your own priorities, and don't need a calm environment to do good work.
