Business Data Analyst

About the Role

As a Business Data Analyst, you’ll manage and maintain key business data processes, run data queries to support both operational and strategic initiatives, and collaborate closely with teams across GoTo Financial to ensure accurate, seamless, and efficient data flow.

What You Will Do:
• Develop and execute SQL queries and scripts to extract, clean, and analyze data from multiple and complex data sources.
• Manage and maintain business data systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability.
• Design and maintain dashboards and reports to support operational monitoring and management decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (finance, product, operations, engineering) to identify data needs and ensure effective data flow.
• Analyze business performance metrics and provide actionable insights to support strategy and planning.
• Document data processes, definitions, and business logic to ensure transparency and knowledge continuity.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to answer urgent or strategic business questions.

What You Will Need:
• Max 1 - 2 years of experience in data analytics. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply; prior internship or project experience in data analytics is a plus.
• Proficient in SQL for querying, transforming, and analyzing data from multiple sources.
• Basic knowledge of data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
• Familiarity with Excel or Google Sheets for data cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
• Eagerness to learn new analytical tools, technologies, and business processes.
• Good communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with Python or R for data analysis is a plus, but not required.
• Curious and proactive mindset in identifying opportunities for data-driven improvement.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adaptable to change.

We work closely with internal and external stakeholders to solve analytical challenges and generate insights that support business impact.
