Business Controller – Social & Compliance, Governance

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO​

As a Business Controller at H&M Production, you will partner closely with managers within Social & Compliance, Governance team to co-create goals, activities, and insights that guide teams across all areas related to supplier compliance, product compliance, and internal governance methods.

Through data-driven analysis and strong business understanding, you will support informed decision-making and continuous improvement across the function.

Key responsibilities: 

• Drive and develop methods to secure compliance routines at supplier factories through data insights and performance analysis
• Establish and maintain follow-up mechanisms for internal controls related to Corporate Governance methods
• Support product and labeling compliance teams by providing relevant data insights and analysis
• Contribute to effective data management within the function, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and reliability
• Develop analytical tools, dashboards, and KPIs to support business steering and decision-making
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement

What is Production? It's the place where design ideas are transformed into actual products. We are in over 20 sourcing markets and are the direct point of contact for local suppliers. We work to ensure our products are of good quality and produced at the best price and in a sustainable way.  

WHO YOU ARE​

You are curious, analytical, and structured, with a strong interest in compliance, governance, and sustainability-related topics. You enjoy working with data, understanding its limitations, and identifying root causes behind deviations or inconsistencies to ensure insights are reliable and actionable.

In this role:

• You will gain exposure to a broad range of compliance-related routines and internal reporting processes
• You will work with stakeholders across multiple locations and cultures
• The role requires approximately 3–4 international trips per year
• You will be part of the Sustainability and Governance team within Production/Supply Chain, offering opportunities to develop a broader understanding of sustainability beyond compliance

We Are Looking for Someone Who Has

• More than 5 years of experience as a Business Controller, Business Analyst, or in a similar role
• A relevant academic background in Business Administration, Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
• Strong analytical and visualization skills, with advanced knowledge of Excel and Power BI
• The ability to prioritize effectively and apply creative analytical thinking
• A strategic mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities and improvement areas
• Experience with informal leadership in a global or cross-functional environment (considered an advantage)
• Strong communication skills, a self-driven mindset, eagerness to learn, and solid business acumen​
