Your Role
Act as the financial and analytical backbone of emnify’s Network Access team — controlling roaming and transport costs, ensuring data accuracy, and improving financial transparency across emnify´s global roaming and carrier partnerships.
Own monthly reconciliations and cost controlling: validate invoices, analyze variances, and ensure accrual accuracy while driving automation to reduce manual work.
Deliver actionable insights: track key KPIs on cost, coverage, and performance; forecast spend and traffic; and evaluate the impact of new technologies and roaming models on profitability.

Key Responsibilities
1. Financial Performance & Invoice Reconciliation
(Core responsibility – around 50% of time)
• Own the monthly reconciliation cycle for all roaming and transport costs.
• Collect internal accrual data from Superset or other internal sources and enter into Excel.
• Match against invoices received via Finance, validating correctness of rates, traffic, and IMSI-level usage.
• Investigate and explain discrepancies, providing variance analysis and corrective recommendations.
• Maintain accurate cost tracking models by IMSI, partner, and traffic category to ensure visibility on gross margin and cost evolution.
• Support Finance with month-end accrual preparation and ensure consistency between accruals and actuals.
• Identify recurring issues and inefficiencies in data and reporting processes and drive automation initiatives (e.g., centralize data, model data, build visualizations in Superset/Apache, and integrate data) to reduce manual effort and error potential.
2. KPI Management, Coverage & Cost Analysis
(Analytical and strategic backbone – around 25% of time)
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve the Network Access KPI dashboard, consolidating data from various systems.
• Track global coverage evolution — monitoring new roaming partners, rollout of new RATs (LTE-M, NB-IoT, 5G), and sunset of legacy technologies.
• Monitor pricing evolution over time, analyzing cost/MB trends, partner rate changes, and their impact on overall unit economics.
• Assess the commercial and operational impact of transitioning from IMSI sponsorships to direct roaming relationships, including coverage, pricing, and commitment exposure.
• Build and maintain traffic and cost forecasts using historical trends and GTM inputs, highlighting risks or opportunities for optimization.
• Translate complex data into clear visual reports and presentations (PowerPoint / Power BI) for management, supporting data-driven decisions on access strategy and partner prioritization.
3. Process Improvement & Cross-Functional Collaboration
(Enablement and business alignment – around 25% of time)
• Act as data quality and process owner for Network Access, ensuring accuracy and consistency between internal databases.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Pricing, and GTM teams to align assumptions, cost models, and forecasts across departments.
• Propose and implement process enhancements that improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in cost management and KPI reporting.
• Provide data-backed insights that support Partner and Roaming Managers in negotiations, performance reviews, and strategic discussions with IMSI sponsors or direct partners.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by standardizing templates for reconciliation, KPI reporting, and internal presentations.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Data Science, Telecom Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in telecom, roaming, or wholesale analytics, preferably in a shared services or BPO setting.
• BI Tool (Superset, Looker, ...), Advanced Excel and Power BI proficiency (automation, pivot modeling, DAX formulas).
• Experience preparing accruals, forecasting costs, or financial performance reporting.
• Understanding of roaming agreements, clearing processes (TAP, DCH, FCH), and IMSI sponsorship concepts.
• Strong English communication skills for remote collaboration across time zones.
• Excellent coordination and reporting discipline when working with distributed teams
