Job Description

Eurofins BioPharma Product Testing B.V. is part of the international operating Eurofins Scientific. The organization is the largest Dutch contract laboratory for the pharmaceutical industry. We specialize in analytical tests for (bio) pharmaceutical raw materials, intermediates and (bio) pharmaceutical products. We perform a very diverse range of analyses for a large number of national and international clients within the (bio) pharmaceutical industry.

We are looking for an experienced Business Controller to oversee all financial processes across our four Benelux sites (Leiden, Nijmegen, Oss and Nazareth). In this key role, you will partner closely with business stakeholders to provide strategic financial insights, manage forecasting and budgeting cycles, and ensure that financial management supports our long-term objectives. You will lead the Credit Controller, act as a trusted financial advisor to the Managing Director and Management Team, and serve as the primary external contact for financial matters. This is an opportunity to shape financial performance, drive operational excellence, and support the continued growth of our organization.

• Ensure that financial management is aimed towards executing the company strategy and achieving the strategic goals;
• Analyze financial statements for deviations from budgets and planning, recognizing trends and in-depth understanding of the business;
• Manage and execute the budgeting and forecasting;
• Prepare operational and financial reports, including but not limited to business cases, management reports and mid-term plans;
• Cost price and margin calculations of company’s services;
• Business Intelligence: develop relevant analysis, reporting, interpretation and projections in fields of sales, market segments, operations and other areas;
• Cash flow management: management of Net Working Capital, Days Sales Outstanding, Days Payables Outstanding;
• Managing the Credit Controller who reports directly to you and is responsible for operational cash flow management;
• Identify potential cost savings, such as in purchasing. Guiding and improving the use of the purchasing system Coupa;
• Initiating and supporting financial projects;
• Financial partner of the Managing Director and the other members of the Management Team;
• External point of contact for all financial matters, including but not limited to contact with financial auditors.

• Bachelor of science in a relevant financial study with minimum of 3 years of experience in a financial or business controller role;
• Fluent in Dutch and English;
• Strongly analytical, practical, and intrinsically motivated self-starter with an interest in directly supporting a growing business;
• Team player, and takes initiative in building relations with his/her direct colleagues;
• Hands-on, hard worker, and focused on achieving results;
• Has advanced knowledge and experience with modeling in Excel;
• Able to convince others and is used to working with deadlines;
• Excellent social and communication skills;
• Located in the Netherlands with a valid work permit.
