Business Architect

About You

You are a Business Architect who thrives at the intersection of business and technology, with a strong ability to translate strategic needs into scalable product solutions.

You are comfortable navigating complex environments, working closely with mobile engineering teams, and driving alignment between business objectives and technical execution. You bring a structured mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to break down complex problems into actionable solutions.

You take ownership of business architecture definition, ensuring clarity, traceability, and consistency across requirements, integrations, and product delivery. You communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders, driving alignment and informed decision-making.

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: 

• 5+ years of experience as a Business Architect, Technical Product Owner, or similar role, delivering complex digital or mobile solutions.
• Proven experience working with mobile architectures (iOS / Android), acting as a bridge between business and engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of REST and GraphQL APIs, including hands-on experience with tools such as Postman for testing and validation.
• Solid experience in systems integration and requirement analysis, using methodologies such as AS-IS / TO-BE.
• Hands-on experience defining business data models, data flows, and end-to-end system integrations.
• Experience managing dependencies across systems, teams, and external integrations.
• Strong experience working within Agile frameworks, including SAFe and Scrum.
• Proven ability to define and maintain traceability between business requirements, epics, and technical acceptance criteria.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure complex requirements into clear deliverables.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience engaging technical teams and executive stakeholders.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.

You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: 

• Define and document the business architecture, including processes, capabilities, and value streams for mobile products.
• Align business requirements with the technical roadmap and product backlog, ensuring consistency and feasibility.
• Identify and manage internal and external dependencies impacting product development and delivery.
• Lead discovery sessions, AS-IS / TO-BE analysis, and stakeholder workshops to define requirements and solutions.
• Define and maintain business data models, integrations, and end-to-end application flows.
• Ensure traceability between business objectives, epics, and technical acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with UX, engineering, and QA teams to ensure consistency and clarity in requirements.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and decisions to stakeholders in a clear and structured manner.
• Perform API testing and validation, supporting integration design and technical proposals.

• Experience working as a Business Architect, Technical Product Owner, or similar role.
• Strong experience with APIs, integrations, and requirement analysis.
• Experience working within Agile frameworks (Scrum / SAFe).
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Advanced English proficiency.
