Business Analyst with WMS/Supply Chain/SAP ERP Sys exp - Carlsbad, CA

We are looking to hire a candidate with the skills sets mentioned and experience for one of our clients within the pharmaceutical Industry. 

Job Summary : Require a Business Analyst to join our Global Operations team in Carlsbad, CA. The resource will support Distribution, Warehouse and Logistics business functions and associated systems, including Level 2 support for systems like Manhattan WMOS 2010 & 2018, Enterprise E1 ERP System, SAP, BAAN, Precision/TRAX-TMS. In addition, the resource will also support project initiatives involving Logistics Control Tower, Machine Automation, Transportation projects, building Power BI Reports, Network upgrade projects, etc.

Requirements Gathering, Design & Development

Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders and end users through working sessions and workshops.

Develop key documentation including Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and System Requirement Specifications (SRS).

Act as a liaison between business and technology teams to support software upgrades and enhancements.

Document business use cases and ensure alignment with system capabilities.

Lead and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities to validate business requirements.

Design system solutions that meet business needs while aligning with IT architecture standards and best practices.

Develop detailed technical design documentation including data models, process flows, and system interface specifications.

Collaborate with system analysts and architects on technical design decisions.

Coordinate development efforts with both internal development teams and external vendors.

Support & Maintenance

Provide incident management, break/fix resolution, and ongoing production support.

Deliver continuous support for deployed systems by identifying issues and implementing practical solutions.

Perform Functional, Regression, User Acceptance (UAT), and Integration testing to ensure business requirements are met.

Develop and execute complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers using MS SQL Server Management Studio and Oracle PL/SQL.

Maintain and manage database scripts to support test data preparation and defect retesting.

Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure optimal system efficiency and stability.

Training & Documentation

Conduct training sessions for end-users and technical teams on new system implementations and enhancements.

Develop comprehensive training materials, user guides, and technical documentation to support knowledge transfer.

Ensure proper documentation of processes, configurations, and support procedures for long-term sustainability.

Key Skills & Experience

5 plus years of experience as a Business Analyst working with Manhattan WMOS (2010 & 2018) and ERP systems such as Oracle Enterprise E1.

3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle PL/SQL and MS SQL Server Management Studio, including stored procedure and trigger development.

3 years of experience supporting Pick, Pack, Ship (PPS) processes across Warehouse Management, Transportation Management, and Order Management systems.

Experience with QAD Precision/Trax preferred.

3 years of experience with integration technologies such as XML, webMethods, and Oracle Fusion Middleware (OFM).

2 years of experience with reporting tools such as IBM Cognos and Power BI.
