Job Description
A highly capable Business Analyst/Scrum Master is sought to join a fast-paced software delivery team in a true hybrid role that combines business analysis, stakeholder engagement, and agile delivery facilitation. This role is suited to someone who can confidently translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable delivery scope while also facilitating Scrum ceremonies, driving team momentum, and supporting continuous improvement. Sitting at the intersection of business needs and agile execution, the position plays a key role in aligning stakeholders, priorities, and technical delivery outcomes. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical ability, excellent communication skills, and a proactive servant-leadership mindset. This is not a traditional split-role position — it requires someone who sees business analysis and agile delivery as naturally connected responsibilities within a single delivery function.
Key Responsibilities
• Engage with stakeholders to gather, analyse, and validate business and functional requirements before development begins
• Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, process flows, and functional specifications
• Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and requirements discussions to define delivery scope and priorities
• Manage requirement changes and assess impact across timelines, scope, and delivery expectations
• Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring clarity and alignment throughout delivery
• Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, and backlog refinement
• Maintain a well-structured and prioritized backlog in collaboration with technical leadership and business stakeholders
• Monitor sprint progress, team capacity, delivery velocity, and risks to support predictable delivery outcomes
• Proactively identify and remove delivery impediments, escalating where necessary to maintain momentum
• Foster Agile best practices and drive continuous improvement within the team
• Ensure accurate and up-to-date tracking within delivery tools
• Coordinate capacity and workload planning across multiple concurrent projects and priorities
• Help protect the development team from unnecessary disruption and unmanaged scope changes during active sprints
Requirements:
• Gr.12/Matric/School Leaving Certificate is essential.
• A relevant degree or diploma in IT, Business, or a related field is essential.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or PSM I / II is essential.

• CBAP, ECBA, or PMI-PBA certification is an advantage.
• Exposure to SAFe or other scaled Agile frameworks is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of software architecture or SDLC concepts is an advantage.
• Familiarity with wireframing or UX tools is an advantage.
• Experience working with both business stakeholders and technical teams simultaneously is an advantage.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical teams and senior business stakeholders
• Ability to challenge unclear requirements and drive alignment before development begins
• A proactive, servant-leadership approach focused on enabling team effectiveness and delivery outcomes
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to remain composed in fast-paced delivery environments
• Ownership mentality with a continuous improvement mindset
• Genuine interest in software delivery, technology, and agile ways of working
