Business Analyst – SAP S/4HANA - Finance, Controlling, Treasury & Procurement (FI / CO / TRM / SAP Ariba)

We are seeking experienced Business Analysts (external consultants) to support the S/4HANA transformation program and its parallel project portfolio. The Business Analysts will work across multiple workstreams, contributing to global template design, detailed requirements discovery, fit-gap analysis, process harmonization, and solution validation.

The consultants will join a hybrid project team consisting of internal BAs/SAs, enterprise architects and vendor delivery teams. Strong domain knowledge in one or more SAP S/4HANA functional areas is required.

Responsibilities:
• Drive business process discovery and requirements gathering (L1–L4), aligned with the global S/4HANA template structure
• Prepare and execute fit–gap analyses with business and IT stakeholders
• Support global template design: process harmonization, documentation, approval cycles
• Translate business requirements into functional specifications, testable acceptance criteria and high-quality documentation
• Support RFP/RFI activities from the business/functional perspective
• Align cross-stream dependencies with finance, manufacturing, logistics, master data and integration teams
• Participate in solution validation, UAT preparation and execution
• Ensure process compliance with global standards and governance
• Identify business-side improvement opportunities, standardization potentials and simplification options
• Collaborate closely with Solution Architects and developers to ensure feasibility and alignment with SAP best practices

Scope Areas: Finance, Controlling, Treasury & Procurement (FI / CO / TRM / SAP Ariba):
• S4 Finance design leadership (GL, AP, AR, AA, BPC/GR optional)
• Controlling architecture: cost objects, product costing, allocation cycles
• Treasury architecture: cash operations, risk management, BCM
• Consolidation architecture setup (embedded vs 3rd party)
• Integration with Master Data Management tool or group reporting, BI/analytics (BW, SAC (Analytics Cloud), Datasphere)

Requirements:
• 7+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, of which at least 4 years in ERP (SAP ECC or S/4HANA environments)
• Strong skills in business process modelling (BPMN preferred)
• Experience with end‑to‑end process design and business analysis techniques
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills and business English proficiency
• Ability to work in multinational environments and handle cross-functional topics

Advantages:
• S4HANA greenfield or brownfield project experience
• Hands-on knowledge in SAP module group (FI/CO/TRM/SAP Ariba)
• Work experience in manufacturing, FMCG, pharma or multi‑company group structures
• Experience with process modelling and/or mining (e.g. Celonis)
• Experience in global template rollouts
• Familiarity with agile delivery frameworks
