Business Analyst - Data Integrations

The Business Analyst (BA) is a highly visible position within the Client Services department and an ideal fit for candidates who are interested in the intersection of finance and technology.  The BA bridges the gap between investment and software professionals by providing subject matter expertise and experience. The BA works as part of a team of Project Managers, Client Success Managers and Support Representatives in the implementation, delivery, and support of our clients using Dynamo, a Cloud-based investment management and reporting solution.

Your daily life:

Client Implementations: Manage multiple client implementations concurrently, ensuring alignment with Dynamo project management guidelines.

Financial Subject Matter Expert: Be knowledgeable regarding the various client structures within portfolio management and other financial based projects. This involves understanding historical financial data, performing reconciliation of performance and NAVs, understanding client ownership hierarchies, and mapping those against incoming custodian and third-party financial data.

Collaboration with Product Management and R&D: Work closely with Product Management and Research & Development teams to enhance product features based on valuable client feedback.

Liaison Between Clients, Custodians, and InternalTechnical Teams: Serve as a bridge between clients’ front, middle, and back offices, and our internal Development teams, specifically the Technical BA Team. Map third-party flat files to Dynamo financial data (Transactions, Balances, etc.) and static client data to Dynamo structures. Write detailed specifications for the Technical BA Team to develop integrations with custom logic.

Ongoing Custodian Sync support: provide ongoing support to existing clients with a Custodian sync integration, monitoring issues that arise due to mapping discrepancies or technical errors.

Client Requirements and Quality Assurance: Gather client requirements and conduct quality assurance for custom syncs.

Customer Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with our valued customers.

What you bring:

Private Equity Partnership Accounting and Portfolio Accounting principles and fundamentals.

General knowledge of database structure that allows for quick understanding of data migration tools such as SFTP

Technical Skills: proficient Excel and beginner to intermediate SQL. Basic Python knowledge is a plus.

Experience working in the financial services industry, specifically the alternative assets space is preferred.

Progress towards advanced financial designation (CFA, CAIA, CPA) or MBA strongly preferred.
