Business Analyst

We currently have a vacancy for a Business Analyst fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.

Your tasks

• Conduct business process modelling, including process analysis and assessment of integrations between different information systems;
• Contribute to and support the development of business cases, business glossaries, vision documents, business requirements documents, and other relevant project documentation;
• Elicit and document user and functional requirements, translating them into user stories or use cases where appropriate;
• Perform risk and impact analyses to support informed decision-making throughout the project lifecycle;
• Participate intechnical working groups, progress meetings, and user meetings, ensuring continuous communication between stakeholders;
• Act as a liaison between user services and development teams to ensure that requirements are accurately understood and effectively implemented;
• Collaborate and coordinate with project teams, including active participation in Sprint Review meetings within Agile environments;
• Support Project Managers in aligning information systems with identified business needs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality solutions, and assisting with the implementation of project management methodologies.

Requirements:
• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• At least 8 years of experience with requirements solicitation;
• At least 8 years of experience with business process management and BPMN;
• At least 5 years of experience in finance and accounting;
• Good knowledge of information systems matters;
• Good knowledge of large organisation administrative business processes;
• Good knowledge of analysis/modelling tools and techniques (use case diagram, state diagram, entity relationship model, interaction diagrams etc.);
• Good knowledge of UML;
• Good knowledge of wiki, collaborative sites;
• Good knowledge of requirements solicitation;
• Knowledge of information systems lifecycle and development methodologies (PM², PM² Agile or Agile Scrum);
• Knowledge and experience of writing User Stories including acceptance criteria;
• Knowledge of following tools: Atlassian Jira/Open Project, Atlassian Confluence/ xWiki, MS Teams and Signal;
• Experience with the EC financial regulation, Data Protection by design and modelling tools such as SPARX Enterprise Architect or ARIS would be an asset;
• Excellent command of the English language.
