Role Objective:

• The Business Analyst is responsible for owning high-visibility reporting and analysis that directly supports business decision-making. This role demands strong analytical rigor, deep ownership of numbers, and the ability to operate independently with minimal supervision.

• This is not a data-pulling role. The expectation is thinking, validating, questioning, and improving.

Core Responsibilities:

Reporting Ownership

• Own end-to-end delivery of recurring and ad-hoc reports using Sigma Computing and Power BI.

• Ensure alignment between Snowflake source data, reporting logic, and dashboard outputs.

• Maintain metric definitions, assumptions, and documentation.

Analysis & Insight Generation

• Perform variance analysis, trend analysis, and root-cause investigations.

• Proactively surface insights, risks, and anomalies without being prompted.

• Support leadership, finance, and operational reviews with accurate and well-explained data.

Data & SQL

• Write and maintain complex Snowflake SQL queries for reporting and analysis.

• Validate data accuracy across multiple sources and resolve discrepancies.

• Ensure performance and scalability of queries and datasets.

Process & Quality Control

• Own data quality checks and reporting validations.

• Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and improve automation.

• Continuously improve reporting frameworks and standards.

Skill Expectations:

Technical

• Strong SQL proficiency (joins, CTEs, aggregations, performance-aware querying).

• Strong dashboarding skills in Sigma and/or Power BI.

• Advanced Excel capabilities.

• High comfort working with large, imperfect datasets.

Behavioral

• High ownership mindset - treats numbers as their responsibility.

• Strong attention to detail with a low tolerance for errors.

• Clear, concise communication with business stakeholders.

• Ability to manage multiple deliverables independently.
