Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst (BA) to support and improve business processes within our conveyancing operations. The BA will work closely with conveyancers, legal teams, lenders, estate agents, and IT staff to streamline property transaction workflows, enhance compliance, and optimize case management systems.
The ideal candidate understands property transactions, legal documentation processes, and regulatory requirements related to conveyancing.
Requirements:
Requirements & Process Analysis
• Analyze end-to-end conveyancing workflows (instruction to completion)
• Gather requirements from conveyancers, legal assistants, and management
• Identify inefficiencies in property transfer processes
• Document business requirements, process maps, and SOPs
Systems & Technology Support
• Work with case management systems (CMS) and CRM platforms
• Translate business needs into functional specifications for IT teams
• Support system enhancements, integrations, and automation initiatives
• Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Reporting & Compliance
• Develop reports on case progress, turnaround times, and risk metrics
• Ensure processes comply with property law, AML, and regulatory standards
• Monitor SLA adherence and operational KPIs
• Support audit and compliance documentation
Stakeholder Collaboration
• Liaise with solicitors, lenders, estate agents, and regulatory bodies
• Act as a bridge between legal teams and technical teams
• Provide training and documentation for new system implementations
• Required Skills & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, Real Estate, or related field

• 2+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst (experience in property/legal sector preferred)
• Knowledge of conveyancing process (sales, purchases, remortgages, transfers)
• Understanding of AML (Anti-Money Laundering) compliance
• Strong process mapping and documentation skills
• Experience with case management systems
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in a law firm or conveyancing company
• Familiarity with property regulations in your jurisdiction (e.g., UK Land Registry
• processes, if applicable)
• Agile/Scrum experience
• SQL or reporting tool experience
