SHADOW is seeking a Business Affairs Manager (6–8 years’ experience) to oversee the financial, contractual, and operational integrity of creative projects. This role sits at the intersection of creative, production, finance, and procurement, ensuring projects are properly scoped, budgeted, compliant, and executed efficiently.
What you bring:
• Demonstrated experience in business affairs, procurement, finance operations, or production management within an agency, media, or marketing environment
• Proven expertise in scoping, budgeting, and financial management for creative/production work
• Experience negotiating with vendors, freelancers, and third-party partners
• Knowledge of contracts, SOWs, and production agreements; familiarity with SAG-AFTRA/AFM guidelines preferred
• Understanding of copyright, trademark, publicity rights, and music licensing
• Experience working with client procurement and sourcing teams
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in project management and financial tools (e.g., Monday.com)
What you do:
• Lead project scoping, budgeting, and financial oversight in partnership with creative operations, production, and finance teams
• Manage indirect procurement, including sourcing, negotiating, and onboarding vendors, freelancers, and production partners
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, SOWs, estimates, and vendor agreements
• Oversee rights, clearances, and licensing (e.g., music, talent, IP, NIL), ensuring legal compliance
• Collaborate with producers to evaluate bids, production estimates, and staffing plans
• Partner with client procurement teams on contract negotiation, onboarding, and compliance processes
• Support resource planning, staffing allocation, and forecasting across projects
• Act as a cross-functional liaison to align creative vision with financial and operational realities
• Maintain documentation standards and optimize workflows across business affairs and procurement
Annual Compensation
$125K - $150K (commensurate with experience)
