GENERAL SUMMARY
Drive a 10-passenger bus for older adults between their homes and the senior center. The service operates Monday-Friday 8 AM – 4 PM within the boundaries of Bloomfield Township. This role is part of a team of part time drivers scheduled 1-2 days per week based on availability and demand. Job sharing may be considered.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The intent of this job description is to provide a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities performed by incumbents of this job. Employees may be requested to perform job-related tasks other than those specifically presented in this description.
Drive the bus to transport older adults between various locations.
Assist people with safe entry and exit as needed.
Provide insights and feedback related to vehicles and routes.
Operate wheelchair lift and anchors as needed.
Clean and inspect the bus as well as wash the exterior of the bus.
Deliver pool water sample to the County Health Department weekly.
Ensure the bus is always full of gas.
Complete and document the SMART daily physical check of bus.
Performs other duties as required.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
Clear driving record
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
1 to 3 years' experience
Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities
Licenses or Certifications
Chauffeur’s License
