Citizens Electric is seeking a dependable, safety‑minded individual to join our team as a Building & Grounds General Maintenance employee. This role is essential in ensuring our facilities, grounds, and substations remain functional, clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain the North (Ste. Genevieve), Central (Perryville), South (Fruitland), and substation facilities.

Perform groundskeeping duties including mowing, shrub care, and seasonal ice/snow removal.

Complete janitorial tasks, preventative building maintenance, small repairs and general maintenance tasks.

Safely operate corporate equipment and vehicles.

What You Bring

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience in grounds maintenance, mowing, snow/ice removal, cleaning and equipment care preferred.

Capability to learn additional maintenance tasks and support team members.

Must follow all safety policies and maintain confidentiality. Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.

Working Conditions

Work may occur both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Physical demands include heavy lifting, awkward positions, and continuous movement.

Occasional irregular or after-hours work required, particularly during emergencies.

Must possess and maintain a valid Class E Missouri Commercial Driver’s License.
