Role summary:

As Budget & Cost Control Specialist to strengthen our financial discipline and cost management processes across the organization. This role will be responsible for reviewing company-wide spending, analyzing cost structures, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing structured budget controls across departments.

Key responsibilities:

Cost analysis & spending review
◦ Review and analyze company-wide expenses and invoices.
◦ Assess the necessity, efficiency, and alignment of expenditures with business objectives.
◦ Identify cost-saving opportunities and areas of inefficiency.
◦ Monitor recurring expenses and vendor contracts.

Budget planning & monitoring
◦ Support the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
◦ Establish and implement spending limits per department.
◦ Track budget vs. actual performance and investigate variances and key drivers.
◦ Prepare monthly cost control reports for management.

Financial reporting & insights
◦ Provide analytical reports and dashboards to support decision-making.
◦ Develop KPIs related to spending efficiency and cost optimization.
◦ Support management with scenario analysis and cost modeling.

Cross-department collaboration
◦ Work closely with department heads to improve budget discipline.
◦ Provide guidance on cost management and financial planning.
◦ Ensure alignment between operational decisions and financial strategy.

Process improvement
◦ Develop and implement internal cost control policies and procedures.
◦ Improve invoice review workflows and approval processes.
◦ Support automation and system improvements related to expense tracking.

Required qualifications:

◦Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
◦ 3+ years of experience in finance, cost control, FP&A, or similar roles
◦ Advanced Excel skills, experience with ERP / accounting systems
◦ Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
◦ Ability to challenge spending constructively and work cross-functionally

Nice to have:
◦ Experience in tech, digital, mobile, or fast-growing companies
◦ Experience in building budgets from scratch
◦ Knowledge of BI tools
