Context And Mission
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) is seeking a BSC AIF Digital Marketing Officer to join the Project Dissemination Unit within the framework of the BSC AI Factory (BSC AIF) initiative.
The BSC AIF is a major European project aimed at accelerating the adoption and development of artificial intelligence across industry sectors. It deploys a comprehensive set of AI-focused services, including training, networking, and innovation support structures. Its mission is to foster the uptake and effective use of AI (particularly among SMEs and startups across participating countries) and to strengthen the European innovation ecosystem. These services are powered by the AI-specific partition of the MareNostrum 5 supercomputer, one of the most advanced computing infrastructures in Europe, designed to meet evolving AI needs by harnessing the latest AI-oriented technologies.
The BSC AI Factory Digital Marketing Officer leads digital promotion efforts for the BSC AIF by managing online channels, executing targeted campaigns, and optimising audience engagement. The role supports visibility for AI services, customer and user engagement and initiatives.
Key Duties
Implement and maintain the overall digital marketing activities included within the Marketing and Communication Strategy (D8.1)
Manage day-to-day digital channels: website, social platforms, newsletters, and uploading news
Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns (SEO, paid ads, emailing or CRM) aligned with the Marketing and Communication Strategy in collaboration with the BSC AIF Project Marketing and Communication Coordinator
Monitor web and social media analytics and define KPIs to optimise content and customer engagement of the different BSC AI Factory channels, contribute to regular performance reports as well as regular marketing campaigns reports to assess impact identifying areas of improvement
Monitor customer acquisition and engagement initiatives and plan digital marketing campaigns in collaboration with WP2- WP5
Create engaging content for digital marketing campaigns and service promotion including videos, animated infographics, newsletters, and web content ensuring it is optimised for readability and impact across all BSC AIF channels
Conduct market and customer research to support positioning strategies (LinkedIn Ads, newsletter, Instagram, events, etc) in collaboration with the key account managers
Requirements
Education
University degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) in Marketing, Communication, Digital Media, Business, or related disciplines
A Master’s degree in Digital Marketing, Communication, Innovation Management, Data Analytics will be considered an asset
Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience
At least 2-3 years of proven professional experience in digital marketing and online communication, preferably within innovation- or technology-driven environments.
Competences
Strong competence in digital marketing and online communication strategies
Ability to manage and optimise digital channels (web, social media, newsletters)
Capability to plan, execute, and monitor digital marketing campaigns using KPIs and analytics
Creating engaging, high-impact digital content for multiple platforms like YouTube, Instagram and LinkedIn
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret web and social media data to improve performance
Ability to conduct market and customer research to support positioning and acquisition strategies
Strong collaboration and coordination skills in multidisciplinary environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are required; knowledge of Spanish and/or Catalan is an asset
Conditions
The position will be located at BSC within the Directors Department
We offer a full-time contract (37.5h/week), a good working environment, a highly stimulating environment with state-of-the-art infrastructure, flexible working hours, extensive training plan, restaurant tickets, private health insurance, support to the relocation procedures
Duration: Open-ended contract due to technical and scientific activities linked to the project and budget duration
Holidays: 22 days of holidays + 6 personal days + 24th and 31st of December per our collective agreement
Salary: we offer a competitive salary commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate and according to the cost of living in Barcelona

Development of the recruitment process
The selection will be carried out through a competitive examination system ("Concurso-Oposición"). The recruitment process consists of two phases:
Curriculum Analysis: Evaluation of previous experience and/or scientific history, degree, training, and other professional information relevant to the position. - 40 points
Interview phase: The highest-rated candidates at the curriculum level will be invited to the interview phase, conducted by the corresponding department and Human Resources. In this phase, technical competencies, knowledge, skills, and professional experience related to the position, as well as the required personal competencies, will be evaluated. - 60 points. A minimum of 30 points out of 60 must be obtained to be eligible for the position.
The recruitment panel will be composed of at least three people, ensuring at least 25% representation of women.
In accordance with OTM-R principles, a gender-balanced recruitment panel is formed for each vacancy at the beginning of the process. After reviewing the content of the applications, the panel will begin the interviews, with at least one technical and one administrative interview. At a minimum, a personality questionnaire as well as a technical exercise will be conducted during the process.
The panel will make a final decision, and all individuals who participated in the interview phase will receive feedback with details on the acceptance or rejection of their profile.
