Job Description
The Role
At Right at Home Realty, getting it right is the work. For our agents, it means closing deals with clarity and confidence. For our clients, it means trusting one of life’s biggest decisions to someone who knows what they’re doing. The Broker of Record is the person who makes sure that standard holds, every day, across every transaction.
You are the regulatory anchor of the brokerage and a trusted partner to thousands of agents across Ontario. You protect how we operate, raise the bar on agent practice, and represent RAHR with regulators, industry bodies, and the broader real estate community. You work alongside our managing brokers, leadership team, and the wider myAbode network to keep our standards high and our agents moving forward.
The objective is clear: ensure RAHR operates with full compliance and confidence, while creating an environment where agents feel supported, accountable, and set up to do their best work.
What You’ll Do
Lead compliance, risk, and regulatory oversight. You are the senior accountability for how RAHR operates within TRESA, RECO, FINTRAC, and the broader regulatory landscape. You own audit readiness, manage RECO complaints, E&O claims, and legal matters with support from corporate counsel, and represent RAHR in regulatory proceedings when required. You also keep brokerage policy current and approve the financial records that keep us compliant.
Support and develop our agents. You are the trusted resource agents turn to when a deal gets complicated. You lead the education, communications, and coaching that keep our agents sharp, confident, and well-supported, and partner with Managing Brokers and BORs across the myAbode network on cross-brokerage matters.
Sit at the leadership table. This role is more than the regulatory seat. You are a member of RAHR's senior leadership team and an active contributor to the strategic direction of the brokerage. You have a voice in how we grow, how we evolve, and how we operate, and you participate across the myAbode network of brands where compliance, agent experience, and brokerage strategy increasingly intersect.
Represent RAHR in the industry and community. You are the face of the brokerage with regulators, industry associations, and local Boards. You stay close to where the industry is heading and build a positive, credible presence for RAHR in the broader real estate community.
What You Bring
Active Ontario Broker license with 5+ years as a Broker of Record or Broker Manager
Deep expertise in TRESA, RECO, FINTRAC, and the broader Ontario regulatory landscape
Demonstrated experience managing RECO complaints, E&O claims, and regulatory audits
Strong command of trust account and commission account reconciliations
Sound judgment and discretion in complex, sensitive situations
Strong communicator who can build trust across a large, distributed agent base
Resourceful and comfortable operating in ambiguity
Collaborative and approachable, the kind of leader agents bring problems to
Energized by a dynamic, fast-moving, tech-forward brokerage
