Breeding Foreman - Dairy Farm

Apt Resources is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a Breeding Foreman to join a leading Dairy Farm in Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing the breeding programs and ensuring optimal herd reproduction and genetics management. This position requires strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of dairy cattle breeding practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all breeding operations within the dairy herd.
• Monitor and record heat detection, insemination, and pregnancy results.
• Perform or oversee Artificial Insemination (AI) procedures as required.
• Maintain accurate breeding and health records for each animal.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and nutritionists to optimize reproductive health.
• Train and guide farm staff on breeding protocols and handling practices.
• Ensure biosecurity, hygiene, and animal welfare standards are strictly followed.
• Analyze reproductive performance data and report to management.

Requirements:
• Diploma or degree in Animal Science, Agriculture, or related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in dairy farm breeding or herd management.
• Proven knowledge of AI techniques, fertility management, and cow reproductive cycles.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to use herd management software or breeding record systems.
• Good understanding of animal health and welfare standards.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a farm environment.
