JOB SUMMARY

Brazers assemble and join metal components using a torch and filler materials in a controlled process that ensures strong, leak-proof, and durable joints. 

Here are some of the tasks you'll be performing:

Metal Preparation

Clean and prepare metal surfaces to ensure proper bonding.

Align and secure parts using clamps, fixtures, or jigs.

Brazing Operations

Apply flux and filler metal to joint areas.

Use torches, induction heaters, or furnaces to heat metal parts to brazing temperature.

Monitor temperature and timing to ensure proper bonding,

Quality Control

Inspect finished joints for strength, leaks, and conformity to specifications.

Perform pressure tests or visual inspections as required.

Identify and correct defects or inconsistencies.

Blueprint and Specification Reading

Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders.

Follow detailed instructions to meet product specifications.

Qualifications:

Previous brazing experience (preferred but not required).

Education requirement:

Post-secondary education or related experience.

To be a success in this role:

Willingness to braze copper joints with an open flame torch.

Have an attention to detail.

Have mechanical skills and be mechanically inclined.

Written/verbal communication skills in English

Ability to multitask and adapt to a highly dynamic environment.

Good reasoning skills and sound judgement.

Must be able to lift packages up to 50 pounds.
