Quick Summary
We are seeking a skilled team member to join our innovative team at Mirai, where we are developing cutting-edge autonomous maritime solutions for vessels under 100 ft.
Required Skills
Job Description
Mirai is building the first AI‑driven autonomy platform for vessels under 100 ft, combining advanced robotics, sensor fusion, and onboard intelligence to make every boat autonomous, safer, and dramatically easier to operate. Beyond enabling crewed vessels, Mirai also develops next‑generation Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs) — uncrewed platforms designed for exploration, utility missions, and operational support — all powered by the same Operating System and multi‑layer autonomy framework.
Autonomous robots operating at sea. Real hardware. Real missions. Most people have never seen anything like what we are building — which means the way we show it determines how the world understands it.
We are seeking a Brand Creative to own how Mirai looks, moves, and feels — across every surface the world sees. This means producing content from scratch: filming autonomous vehicles at sea, photographing hardware in the field, animating systems that haven't been built yet, and editing footage that makes people stop and watch. One week you're on a dock with a camera. The next you're in post, cutting a launch reel. This is a production role, not a strategy role — and the output is what matters.
Everything visual that Mirai puts into the world starts here.
We are looking for the kind of designer who has a deep aesthetic obsession with the visual language of advanced technology — the precise, mechanical beauty of a mecha kit, the stark authority of a defense tech brand, the cinematic weight of a game trailer that makes hardware feel inevitable. Someone who doesn't just produce content, but builds visual systems with a point of view.
Key Responsibilities
Field Production
Film and photograph Mirai's vehicles, hardware, and operations in the field — dock, open water, lab, test runs.
Build a visual archive of real footage that makes the product impossible to ignore.
Motion & Cinematic Content
Concept, produce, and edit video content that makes autonomous maritime systems look as extraordinary as they are — product reveals, mission footage, launch trailers, investor reels.
Design and animate motion graphics that communicate complex technical concepts with visual clarity and impact.
Brand & Visual Identity
Own and evolve Mirai's visual language — typography, color, iconography, layout — across all touchpoints.
Design static assets for web, presentations, press, and events that maintain a consistent, high-craft aesthetic.
Social & Short-Form Content
Produce short-form video and visual content for LinkedIn, X, and other channels — built for the scroll, optimized for impact.
Develop a repeatable content production workflow that scales as Mirai's public presence grows.
3D & Visualization
Create 3D renders, environment visualizations, and animated sequences to show systems and missions that haven't been filmed yet.
Required Qualifications
A portfolio that makes people stop scrolling. Not polished — precise. Work that shows you understand timing, tension, and visual storytelling at a level that goes beyond production skills.
5+ years of professional experience in motion design, creative direction, or visual content production — with shipped work to show for it.
Mastery of After Effects and Premiere (or DaVinci Resolve). Proficiency in at least one 3D tool — Cinema 4D, Blender, or equivalent.
Hands-on field production skills — you know how to operate a camera, manage a shoot, and get usable footage in difficult outdoor conditions.
A visual sensibility shaped by gaming, VFX, automotive, aerospace, or defense tech — you know what makes a product feel like the future, not just look like one.
Strong graphic design foundations — layout, typography, color — not just motion.
Fluent in English. Hybrid role, with regular presence at Mirai's lab in Puglia for production sessions and on-site shoots.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience producing content for deep tech, robotics, aerospace, defense, or industrial hardware companies.
Familiarity with real-time rendering engines — Unreal Engine, Notch, TouchDesigner — for live visuals or interactive content.
Drone operation and aerial cinematography experience.
Sound design sensibility — you think about audio as part of the visual experience, not an afterthought.
Experience building and maintaining brand systems, not just executing within them.
What We Offer
Subject matter that most creatives never get near — autonomous robots, open water, real missions.
Full creative ownership of how Mirai looks and sounds to the world.
A technically obsessed team that will give you access, context, and raw material that no agency ever gets.
Hybrid role with flexibility on remote work and regular presence in Puglia for production.
The chance to define the visual identity of a company at the moment it goes public.
