BPM LLP recruiting on behalf of a Confidential Ranch Company for a Controller based out of Bozeman, MT

BPM is currently recruiting for a Controller position for a Confidential Ranch Company. This role will lead the on-site accounting team in Bozeman, MT. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, loves building efficient systems, and enjoys being a key player in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
• Oversee all day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and financial reporting.
• Work closely with VP of Finance to ensure a timely monthly close process.
• Maintain up-to-date event codes in the accounting system.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation.
• Complete other ad-hoc projects as necessary.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and accountability
• Implement process improvements and technology solutions to enhance efficiency
• Support in overseeing the activities of the ranch corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of monthly internal financial statements
• Participate in a variety of special ranch accounting or reporting projects and compile a variety of special reports

Position Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• 8 years of relevant experience with 5 years of management experience is preferred
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with multiple departments.
• Complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner with minimal oversight.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and take on additional projects as needed.
