JOB PURPOSE: This position is responsible for day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations, including maintaining accurate financial records, supporting transaction processing, and assisting with internal reporting. The role plays a key part in ensuring timely, organized, and reliable financial information to support organizational operations.
SUPERVISOR: Finance Director
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Hourly
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Bookkeeping & Financial Operations
Enter and categorize financial transactions in QuickBooks Online
Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation
Process accounts payable and assist with accounts receivable activities
Prepare deposits and support cash handling processes
Monitor financial data for accuracy and completeness
Billing & Administrative Support
Assist with invoicing, billing processes, and required documentation
Communicate with vendors and staff to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information
Reporting & Coordination
Support the Finance Director with monthly and periodic reporting
Generate standard financial and operational reports as needed
Assist with audit preparation and documentation
Asset Tracking & Purchasing Support
Maintain basic records of organizational assets and equipment
Support purchasing processes and ensure documentation is retained
General
Follow organizational policies and maintain confidentiality of financial information
Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Required
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience
Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting software
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Preferred
Experience in nonprofit or service-based organizations
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs.
Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, bending, and occasional physical activity as needed.
