Job Description
Bolder Apps is an AI-native product lab specializing in the end-to-end development of high-performance mobile and web applications. We partner with forward-thinking startups to transform complex ideas into scalable digital products. By integrating advanced AI workflows into our development lifecycle, we move beyond traditional agency models to deliver precision-engineered software that solves real-world problems. Whether building from scratch or evolving an existing platform, our focus is on creating seamless user experiences and robust technical architectures.
Our Values
• Speed as a Habit: We believe that in the startup world, momentum is everything. We optimize for rapid iteration without sacrificing quality.
• Precision over Promises: We believe in accurate scoping and technical honesty.
• AI-Native Mindset: We leverage the latest AI tools to automate the mundane and focus on high-value problem solving.
• Ownership: We treat our clients’ products as if they were our own.
• Radical Clarity: From our SOWs to our code, we value clear communication that eliminates ambiguity.
About the role
We are looking for a precise and reliable Staff Accountant / Bookkeeper to manage the day-to-day financial transactions of our US-based software agency. Your primary mission is to ensure our books are "audit-ready" at all times, payroll is executed flawlessly, and every dollar is accounted for across our international accounts.
Requirements:
• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Software: High proficiency in QuickBooks Online is non-negotiable.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of US accounting principles (GAAP) or experience working with US-based entities is a major plus.
• Payments: Familiarity with international banking platforms (Revolut, Stripe, etc.).
• Language: Upper-Intermediate English (B2) or higher. You must be able to communicate clearly with US stakeholders and read complex financial documents.
• Traits: You find "calm" in organized spreadsheets and have a zero-tolerance policy for uncategorized transactions.
Responsibilities
• Daily Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate records in QuickBooks Online; categorize all transactions and reconcile Chase, Revolut, and Synergy bank accounts.
• Accounts Payable (AP): Schedule and execute payments to international contractors via SWIFT, ACH, and Wire transfers.
• Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate client invoices and monitor the aging report; provide polite but firm follow-ups on outstanding payments.
• Payroll Support: Prepare monthly payroll data in Rippling, ensuring all bonuses, deductions, and salary adjustments are entered correctly.
• Expense Management: Track company subscriptions, audit credit card receipts, and flag any discrepancies or bank fee disputes.
• Monthly Closing: Assist in preparing the monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for leadership review by the 5th of every month.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Rippling (Payroll) or Ramp (Spend Management).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Benefits:
• Competitive compensation based on your skills and experience.
• Hybrid work format with an office near the metro in Tashkent.
• Daily collaboration with a U.S.-based team on impactful projects.
• No micromanagement – we focus on results, not bureaucracy.
• Work that truly matters, with real challenges and measurable impact.
• Clear growth opportunities for driven, reliable professionals.
