People Architects is excited to recruit an onsite Bookkeeper/Office Assistant to manage day-to-day financial operations, support administrative functions, and ensure the business stays organized and on track for our client, a well respected landscape company. This is a people-first company where support, respect, and stability are part of everyday operations. Responsibilities:
Manage all bank accounts, including line of credit and cash reserves
Prepare deposits and maintain accurate financial records
Generate weekly cash flow reports for the Company President
Process vendor payments, credit cards, and accounts payable/receivable
Handle invoicing, client deposits, monthly billing, and collections follow-up
Reconcile accounts and complete monthly balancing
File payroll taxes, quarterly reports, and sales tax filings
Process payroll and maintain related records
Maintain organized client, vendor, and financial files
Support budgeting, depreciation entries, and financial tracking
Coordinate bank transfers and assist with financial reporting needs
Answer phones and support day-to-day office coordination
Process agreements, permits, registrations, and equipment documentation
Maintain employee records, onboarding, and benefits coordination
Assist with workers’ compensation reporting and general HR admin tasks
Participate in weekly meetings with the Company President and leadership team
Pitch in on special projects and help where needed for the good of the team
Qualifications (Required & Preferred):
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar bookkeeping role
Proficiency with QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Excel, and Word
Strong understanding of accounts payable/receivable and payroll processes
Highly detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities
A self-starter who takes ownership and works independently
Strong communication skills and professionalism
Someone who wants to learn, grow, and build a long-term care.
