Overview
In this role, you will play a key part in managing day-to-day financial operations, including reconciliation, accounting tasks, and transaction processing. This role is critical in ensuring both the accuracy of our daily finances and the proactive planning of future operations. By relieving the team of finance workload, you’ll help ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all financial activities.
This is a full-time, remote position requiring 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST). The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in accounting principles and enjoys working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Support the finance team by managing daily accounting and financial tasks.
Handle reconciliations, debits, credits, and general bookkeeping activities.
Contribute to the annual and periodic budgeting process, working with management to develop accurate financial forecasts and projections.
Troubleshoot and resolve financial discrepancies with accuracy and timeliness.
Ensure all financial records are accurate, organized, and up to date.
Collaborate with team members to streamline financial processes and support business operations.
Qualifications
Base knowledge of general accounting principles required.
Demonstrated experience in financial budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to troubleshoot discrepancies.
Comfortable working as part of a collaborative team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Experience with property management software (AppFolio), phone systems (Nextiva), and Adobe for documentation/design is a plus.
