Position: Permanent Full Time

Working hours: Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, No Saturdays

Salary: OTE up to £44,000

Lookers Volkswagen Newcastle are recruiting for a Bodyshop Technician to join their fantastic facility, you will play a vital role, carrying out vehicle repairs using the latest technology.

Here at Lookers Newcastle, you will report to the accomplished Aftersales Manager, who will give on-going support to ensure you have the tools needed to succeed in your role. We can also offer you excellent career progression and training opportunities.

Our Bodyshop Technicians play a vital role within our Aftersales team by delivering first class customer service every time. We want you to be part of our success. If you’re timed served or a qualified Bodyshop/Cosmetic Technician, whether you work in a dealer group or independent garage, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

• Carrying out a variety of cosmetic repairs including stripping, refurbishing and fitting parts to damaged vehicles

• Act as a multiskilled Cosmetic Repair Technician undertaking all aspects of repair's as required

• Work effectively as part of a team of skilled Bodyshop Technicians

• Full use of PPE and adherence to health and safety requirement when carrying out repairs

• Adhere to manufacturer repair guidelines when carrying out repairs

The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a Bodyshop/Cosmetic technician. You'll be self-motivated, ambitious, and eager to learn, while being able to work to the highest standards and also require a full UK driving license.

Having previous experience of working with brand would be advantageous, although not essential as supportive training can be provided.
