We are seeking a Blood Bank Tech for our hospital

Job description and benefits summary attached. EDUCATION: BS degree in Medical Technology. Certification as Medical Technologist (ASCP), CLS (ASCP), or MLS (ASCP). EXPERIENCE: Minimum of five years’ experience in Blood Bank. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: ASCP Specialist in Blood Bank preferred. Job Description: Responsible for the effective and efficient technical operations of the Blood Bank and other areas as assigned. Responsible for planning and implementing laboratory service that exceeds customer expectations in both the hospital and ambulatory care settings. Establishes a continuous improvement atmosphere within the laboratory to provide a safe environment for patients and staff, maximize technical and support personnel resources, enhance service delivery, and affect appropriate cost controls. Functions as a resource for all staff level positions within the Blood Bank to ensure efficient functioning of the laboratory. Performs other duties as assigned.

On Call requirements: No Call

Weekend requirements: Every Third Weekend

Certification requirements: MT (ASCP), CLS (ASCP), or MLS (ASCP).
