Blended Support Specialist (PRN / Part-Time)

Lumera Healthcare is seeking a flexible, dependable Blended Support Specialist to provide as-needed coverage across our outpatient clinics. This is a part-time, PRN role that will be cross-trained in front desk operations, call center support, and medical assistant–adjacent functions. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, adaptable, and able to respond to clinic needs with short-notice availability.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule patient appointments in accordance with established protocols.

Maintain clear, professional communication with patients, families, and staff via phone, email, and secure messaging platforms.

Provide ongoing support to patients and their families to ensure timely access to appropriate care.

Assist medical providers with inbound phone and fax requests for medication refills, following established procedures.

Ensure effective communication with nursing staff, physicians, and other relevant personnel.

Maintain timely, accurate documentation within electronic health records and facility databases.

Attend mandatory staff meetings and training sessions, demonstrating commitment to professional development and adherence to organizational policies.

Qualifications & Skills

Energetic, patient, compassionate, and highly service-oriented.

Strong ability to remain calm under pressure, multitask, and problem-solve in high-stress or fast-paced environments.

Comfortable managing emergent situations, including escalation protocols when a patient expresses suicidal ideation.

Able to set and maintain professional boundaries while adhering strictly to HIPAA and established clinical and administrative protocols.

Demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, and composure at all times.

Ability to learn multiple workflows quickly and shift between roles as needed.

Availability to be called in on short notice to support clinic operations.
