Eptec delivers across a diverse range of industry sectors, including naval, defence, marine, transport, and infrastructure. Recent projects undertaken by the Eptec Group include Peats Ferry Bridge, Burnett River Bridge, Brisbane Cross River Rail, Sydney Metro Trains, Hobart Class Air Warfare Destroyers (AWDs), Offshore Patrol Vessels (OPVs), Collins Class Submarine Full Cycle Dockings (FCDs) in South Australia, and now the Hunter Class Frigate Program.
Compensation – $110,000 to $130,000 full time rate annually (subject to experience)
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Blast & Paint Supervisor to lead our field team based in Brisbane, QLDsupporting projects across the Defence Solutions portfolio.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality outcomes safely, on time, and in full compliance with contract and regulatory standards.
Important: Due to security clearance requirements, only Australian citizens can be considered.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and manage a team of field-based painters/blasters
Drive Eptec’s Zero Harm safety culture across all works
Oversee project delivery including task planning, risk assessments, and quality control
Ensure subcontractors and suppliers meet compliance and quality benchmarks
Maintain accurate project documentation and progress reports
Champion continuous improvement and professional growth within your team
What You’ll Bring
2–3+ years’ experience supervising blast & paint, remediation, or waterproofing works
Strong leadership and communication skills
Technical expertise in surface prep, coating systems, hazardous substances and QA/QC
NACE Level 2 (preferred but not essential)
Background in defence or infrastructure remediation highly desirable
Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable managing site documentation
