We are strengthening our Life Sciences & Data Science practice with a Biostatistics & Data Science Consultant who brings robust technical experience, strong methodological rigor, and the ability to participate in analytical workstreams within multidisciplinary teams.
This role is ideal for someone eager to grow in multidisciplinary environments, working at the intersection of statistics, biology, and advanced analytics to support high-impact projects.
Your Role
You will work for one of our Fortune 500 clients, a leader in its sector, within a global team and in the field of R&D. Collaborating with research centres and R&D areas in digital technologies and AI, within the Life Sciences Beauty sector.
As a Consultant, you will contribute to the design and execution of analytical and statistical initiatives within life sciences, research, and data-driven decision-making contexts.
You will work closely with senior experts and project teams to deliver actionable insights, build robust analytical workflows, and support client engagements with technical excellence and clear communication.
Key Responsibilities
Support the development and execution of statistical analyses , including univariate, multivariate, mixed-effects, and Bayesian models.
Assist in handling missing data , designing statistical strategies, and interpreting results with methodological rigor.
Contribute to analytical pipelines for clinical trials, instrumental datasets, and omics data (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics, etc.).
Develop reproducible, well-structured code in R , applying development best practices and modern data analysis frameworks (e.g., Tidyverse).
Collaborate in multidisciplinary teams, partnering with experts in biology, engineering, data science, and strategy to structure and deliver project work.
Use Git/GitHub for version control, ensuring high-quality, traceable, and collaborative development.
Support data extraction, transformation, and modelling activities using SQL and Python .
Prepare presentations, reports, and clear documentation for client-facing and internal stakeholders.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, internal knowledge assets, and methodological excellence within the practice.
Required Skills
Statistical Expertise
Strong foundation in univariate, multivariate, and mixed-effects models .
Proficiency in Bayesian analysis .
Ability to manage and model datasets with missing data .
Previous exposure to clinical, instrumental, or omics data .
Technical & Programming Skills
Advanced command of the R language and Tidyverse ecosystem.
Familiarity with software engineering best practices: clean code, version control, reproducibility.
Experience with Git/GitHub workflows.
Basic proficiency in Python , SQL , and data modelling principles.
(Preferred) Knowledge of Linux environments.
(Preferred) Exposure to cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Biological Foundations
Strong interest in life sciences , biotechnology, or omics fields.
Solid understanding of biological fundamentals, including the central dogma and evolutionary principles.
Soft Skills
Strong organizational skills, punctuality, and attention to detail.
Ability to communicate complex statistical concepts clearly and effectively.
Adaptability and confidence when navigating multidisciplinary and multi-stakeholder scenarios.
Commitment to scientific and methodological rigor .
Motivation to continuously learn and expand technical and domain expertise.
Consulting & Data Skills
Proficiency with PowerPoint and ability to structure clear, impactful presentations.
Experience participating in or supporting client meetings and project discussions.
Ability to contribute to structured problem solving and business-oriented analysis.
