Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM/VDC Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will handle complex designing and drafting assignments, maintain project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule, and collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and field personnel. This role requires strong knowledge of the electrical construction industry and the ability to resolve conflicts and present cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Drafting:
Handle complex designing and drafting assignments under minimal supervision.
Review drawings for completeness and accuracy.
Maintain all revisions of project drawings.
Ensure proper file organization and documentation.
Project Management:
Complete project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule.
Participate in coordination and project-related meetings.
Perform other responsibilities as necessary to support the successful completion of projects.
Collaboration and Communication:
Effectively communicate with project managers, project engineers, and field personnel.
Identify and resolve conflicts with the design team and present well-thought-out and cost-effective solutions.
Industry Knowledge:
Maintain a strong understanding of the electrical construction industry and processes.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a BIM/VDC Designer or similar role.
Strong proficiency in BIM software and tools.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Experience in the electrical construction industry is highly preferred.
Ability to identify and resolve design conflicts and present cost-effective solutions.
