A Day in the Life:
-Read and understand Architectural and Structural Drawings.
-Once assigned to a project attend Design Assist or related project meetings as required.
-Through Revit, provide all details and layouts as needed to complete proof of concept, overall project design, material take-offs, models.
-Create shop drawings internally working with senior drafter.
-Upon a detailed review and completion of drawings submit final drawings to the Lead Designer, Project Manager, Project Engineer, and the Drafting Manager for “high level” checking and review. Upon completion of this review make any corrections as noted to shop drawings and model.
-Work with Inventor user to support fabrication package internally or work with outsource company to support fabrication package.
-Support the shop during fabrication process.
-Support the field during the installation process.
-Create closeout documents based on entire project life span.
-All other duties as required.
What We Are Seeking:
-must have previous experience with unitized curtainwall in a BIM Specialist role.
-Detailed knowledge and use of Revit.
-Knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault are considered strong assets.
-Demonstrated proficiency for reading and understanding Architectural and Structural Drawings.
-Self motivated, strong organization skills, and strong attention to detail.
