We’re Hiring: Billing Specialist | Patterns Behavioral Services
Full-Time | On-Site
Fullerton, CA 92835
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $23 – $25 per hour
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Billing Specialist to support the accuracy and efficiency of our financial billing operations. In this role, you will take ownership of the billing process, ensuring claims are submitted accurately and in a timely manner while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and company standards.
You will serve as a key point of contact for billing-related inquiries, working closely with internal teams and insurance providers to resolve issues and maintain smooth operations. This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, organized, and confident working independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of medical billing experience
• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong knowledge of insurance billing and claims processes
• Experience with CentralReach or similar billing systems preferred
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Workspace
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
Technical and Analytical Skills:
• Ability to calculate percentages, discounts, interest, and commissions
• Understanding of basic algebra and geometry concepts
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to interpret technical instructions and manage multiple variables
Reasoning Ability:
• Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions
• Comfortable working with both abstract and concrete information
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use hands throughout the workday
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Visual ability including close, distance, and peripheral vision
