Revenue Cycle Management Team – PT Advantage
PT Advantage, the administrative services partner supporting Optimum Therapies clinics, is seeking a Billing Specialist to join our Revenue Cycle Management team in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Optimum Therapies is a therapist-owned private practice specializing in orthopedics, pelvic rehab, vestibular, sports medicine, and general physical therapy. Founded in 2001, we proudly serve communities across Western Wisconsin and North Dakota with a mission to improve lives one movement at a time. PT Advantage supports that mission by managing the operational and administrative functions that keep our clinics running smoothly.
We are looking for a Billing Specialist to support our clinics through accurate billing, claims management, and accounts receivable processes. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys detail-oriented work, problem-solving, and being part of a collaborative healthcare team behind the scenes.
What You'll Do
Responsibilities include:
Preparing and submitting insurance claims
Monitoring and correcting claim rejections
Posting payments and adjustments accurately
Investigating and resolving insurance denials
Assisting with insurance verifications and authorizations
Communicating coverage details and financial responsibility to clinic teams
Supporting patient billing questions in a professional and compassionate manner
Reviewing accounts for accuracy and helping resolve outstanding balances
Submitting appeals when needed
Staying current on payer requirements and billing processes
You’ll work closely with clinic teams and revenue cycle leadership to help billing operations run efficiently across our organization.
What We're Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
Organized and detail-oriented
Comfortable working with systems and spreadsheets
A strong communicator
Able to problem-solve and work independently
Capable of managing multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
Preferred experience includes:
Medical billing or healthcare office experience
Accounts receivable experience
Familiarity with insurance processes
Basic to intermediate Excel skills
Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-office position based in Eau Claire, WI. The role involves daily computer work, collaboration with clinic teams, and communication with insurance companies and patients.
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly range: $18–$20/hour depending on experience
