El Futuro is seeking a full-time, 30 hours per week, Walk-in Clinic Assistant to ensure that the Walk-in Clinic (WIC) environment is pleasant and welcoming; they assist clients with virtual appointments, maintain documentation, and provide back-stop support to the Clinic Operations team.
Starting pay is $19.00 per hour. El Futuro provides employer paid medical, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability; 403B matching; generous PTO and paid holidays; paid family medical leave; paid parental leave; and stipend and paid time off for professional development.
This is an in-person position, working a regular schedule of 30 hours per week in the Durham office, with occasional work time in the evening and occasional work in the Siler City office. The regular schedule is Monday and Friday 9:00-3:30, Tuesday* 8:00am-3:00pm, Wednesday and Thursday 8:30am-3:00pm. Must be available for Friday morning meetings 9:00-11:00am. *Tuesdays start with the pick-up of the weekly food donation from Panera.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The Walk-in Clinic Assistant performs a wide range of functions including, but not limited to the following:
Ensure the waiting room is clean and tidy.
Prepare coffee, snacks, and other beverages and set-up at front door; clean-up table and package snacks at end of WIC.
Pick-up food donation from Panera Bread each Tuesday, location: 3301 Watkins Rd, Durham.
Greet clients and visitors as they enter the clinic, answer questions, and provide guidance or directions.
Upon arrival, collect client information using the sign-in sheet and assign each client a buzzer.
Provide excellent customer service to clients in the waiting room.
Assist clients to connect to Zoom when their appointment is in-person, but their Clinician is virtual.
Complete client documentation via DocuSign.
Conduct client satisfaction surveys.
Provide back-stop coverage for clinic administrative positions, such as Front Desk, Access Coordinator, and Centralized Scheduler, in Durham and Siler City.
Process Medical Records requests
Assist with filing and other projects as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in administrative or clinical assistance, customer service or related field.
Experience working with the Latino community, preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
Required: Bilingual fluency in spoken and written Spanish and English.
Able to communicate with clients and colleagues in a professional, warm, and sensitive matter.
Demonstrated flexibility, creativity, and adaptability to accommodate evolving client and organizational needs.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities with attention to detail.
Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
In-person role in Durham office; includes attendance at team and El Futuro in-person meetings or events.
Provide back-stop coverage to Siler City clinic.
Work schedule includes availability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
