OVERVIEW
Reporting to Director, Stakeholder and Media Relations – ATL, the Bilingual Manager, Marketing and Communications ATL, is responsible for hands-on and participative management of communications and stakeholder engagement activities, and for supporting and implementing Circular Materials’ marketing programs across in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. By providing strategic marketing support and managing day-to-day communications and stakeholder relations activities, this role contributes directly Circular Materials’ goals and objectives while serving as an integral member of the marketing and communications team. Through professional level bilingualism in English and French, the position supports the execution of marketing and communications initiatives throughout Atlantic Canada.
This position requires residency in Atlantic Canada. An incorporated number for this contract 12-month position is also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing: Promotion and Education (P&E) for Residents
Plan, manage, develop, and implement promotion and education initiatives and materials for residents that support behavior change across Atlantic Canada on time and to budget.
Lead the development of marketing research and materials, including promotional and educational content, website content, and Atlantic social media strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
Build out personas through marketing and resident research and insights to further develop the audience, key messaging and tactics based on learnings.
Manage residential advertising campaigns in collaboration with agencies, municipalities, and other key stakeholders from start to finish.
Implement quality management and continuous improvement practices to assess the effectiveness and efficiency of promotion and education initiatives.
Review and refine marketing materials and programs, analyze and report on metrics and KPIs, and identify opportunities for improvement and recommending new tools and best practices.
Manage and track and programs to ensure marketing efforts are within budget.
Ensure all marketing activities adhere to communication standards, guidelines, and processes.
Oversee graphic design processes, ensuring that final designs are production-ready for both web and print.
Communications & Stakeholder Engagement
Arrange and prepare presentations, webinars, scripts and other related materials for speaking engagements, media interviews, etc.
Support the development and management of communications plans in support of the strategy and Atlantic Canada stakeholders.
Support the planning and execution of stakeholder events that build brand trust and awareness.
Develop and oversee the creation of high-quality written communication materials, including brochures, pamphlets, and speaking notes, to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with the organization’s brand and strategic objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Post secondary education in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a combination of education and professional work experience is required.
An equivalent combination of education, and experiences may be considered.
Experience
Completely fluent in both English and French (oral and written).
8+ years of progressive job-related experience.
5+ years of experience as a Manager.
Demonstrated experience with marketing communications tools and protocols, including campaign development, tactical execution, visual design principles, and the use of social media platforms.
Experience supporting public or government affairs initiatives and managing stakeholder relationships.
Understanding of effective communications, public affairs, marketing, stakeholder relations, and reputation management practices.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
Experience in managing marketing campaigns with measurable outcomes.
Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies to maintain competitiveness.

Ability to support and execute marketing strategies that align with broader organizational objectives, balancing long-term goals with short-term priorities.
Strong relationship-building, collaboration, and teamwork skills enacting standards of integrity, ethics, and professional conduct.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
Ability to translate technical or complex information into clear, factual, and accessible messages.
WORKING CONDITIONS
All CM employees work 40 hours per week, remotely from a Canadian home office environment.
This role requires occasional extra or flexible hours in evenings or on weekends.
Periodic travel will be required to Atlantic provinces, with occasional travel to other provinces.
PAY TRANSPARENCY
Expected Compensation:
An wage in the range of $43 to $48 per hour.
The salary range listed complies with the Ontario Employment Standards Act and reflects a potential earnings range for this role. The actual salary offered will be determined within the range, and will depend on factors, such as the candidate’s unique qualifications, relevant experience, work location and expected contributions.
