About the Role:
Our client one of the largest professional services firm supporting client globally in the Finance Service Center is currently looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Specialist with Japanese or Korean language proficiency to support global clients in a BPO environment. The role will manage Cash Applications, Collections, and AR Disputes, ensuring timely reconciliation, customer communication, and issue resolution while meeting SLAs and quality standards.
The ideal candidate is a natural problem-solver who excels at root cause analysis and can communicate complex findings effectively. You will be a key liaison between our customers and internal departments, requiring exceptional verbal and written communication skills to negotiate resolutions and protect the company's financial assets.
Responsibilities
• Independently manage higher-risk or complex AR accounts to ensure timely payment
• Develop and execute account-level collection strategies and payment plans
• Identify root causes of delinquency (billing issues, disputes, unapplied cash, contract gaps) and coordinate resolution
• Handle customer and internal escalations, leading negotiations when needed
• Partner with Billing, Disputes, Cash Application, Sales, and Operations to remove payment blockers
• Track portfolio KPIs (aging, delinquency, promise-to-pay performance) and recommend improvements
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to process enhancements
Requirements:
• 0–4 years of experience in Collections, Accounts Receivable Disputes Resolution, or Order-to-Cash
• Working experience under BPO, Shared Services, Call Center Environment
• Strong understanding of AR aging, cash flow impact, write-offs, and dispute management
• Proficiency in ERP/AR systems and Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Must be fluent with both either Japanese or Korean Languages
• Language certification: (JLPT N1 or JLPT N2) or Korean (TOPIK Level 4 or TOPIK level 5) is a must
