AthenaPsych is a New York State mental health-approved provider of community mental health services for children, adults, and families with behavioral and emotional challenges. We specialize in individual and group psychotherapy for clients with a focus on trauma-informed care. Here at Athena, we pride ourselves on hiring a diverse group of mental health clinicians and staff who are passionate and dedicated to improving our clients’ overall emotional well-being. We provide both in-person and telehealth services for our clients.
Requirements:
• Work in collaboration with the Clinical Director and other intake workers to ensure day-to-day admission operations are successful
• Provide on-site, in-person, and virtual intake sessions with all prospective Athena Clients
• Responsible for collecting client information, documentation, and determining client needs
• Partner with a multidisciplinary team in assessing the level of care, planning an admission schedule, and communicating case formulation and clinical recommendations
• Ensure all proper intake assessments and documentation is completed by assigned deadlines
Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Social Work or related field required.
• Requires NYS licensure as a mental health practitioner (LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, LCAT ).
• At least two years of clinical experience is preferred.
• Leadership competency to supervise clinicians is required.
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• OMH (Article 31) experience preferred.
Working Conditions:
The primary work location varies. This is a professional work environment where a computer, desk, chair, and office supplies will be provided in either office.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the role above. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to hear and speak on the phone or through virtual telehealth sessions conducted on a computer throughout the day, stand and sit for an extended period, and be able to write and answer emails in addition to carrying objects no greater than 20 pounds, when needed.
