We are seeking a Bilingual Human Resources Generalist with 1 – 2 years of HR experience, who will foster a positive and inclusive culture. The Human Resources Generalist will work with the HR team in the development, implementation, and administration of HR programs and provide a high level of service to our employee groups in Eastern Canada, including Quebec.
Reporting to the Director, HR, and partnering with the Human Resources Manager, Eastern Canada, you will be involved in all aspects of Human Resources including participating in the development and implementation of multiple projects.
What You Will Do:
Act as the first point of contact for employee inquiries in Eastern Canada
Support employee programs including benefits, policies, procedures, employee recognition, DEI&B, onboarding, and training
Administer employee benefits programs for employees in Eastern Canada
Administer employee leaves including short-term & long-term disability, WSIB/CNESST claims, return to work programs, and workplace accommodation programs for Eastern Canada
HCM administration including data hygiene, reporting, training new hires, and recruitment
Support the HR Manager with recruitment including screening candidates, coordinating interviews, background checks, and job offers
Participate in employee relations and workplace investigations
Create and prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for purposeful change
Participate in Human Resources programs and projects

What You Will Bring:
Post-secondary education in Human Resources
1 – 2 years experience in Human Resources
Fluent in both English & French (written, spoken, and read)
Experience in open enrolment, workplace investigations, and/or absence and claims management an asset
Knowledge of employment legislation related to human rights and accommodation requirements; experience in multiple provinces is a definite asset
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels using a collaborative and team focused approach
Enthusiasm for your work, creative problem-solving skills, and exceptional time management skills
Exceptional communication skills: you are a skilled listener, fact finder, communicator, and interested in further developing your presentation skills
Ability to exercise sound judgment, business acumen, and practical experience to guide recommendations
Working towards or holds an HR designation is an asset but not required
