YOUR ROLE

As a Bike Mechanic/ Sport Specialist your role is to ensure all customers leave our stores ‘satisfied or satisfied’. From a friendly and professional welcome through to a unique online and offline retail experience. You will enjoy sharing your passion in sports with our customers. Your role is to always deliver a 5-star experience for our customers.

Your Responsibilities:

• I satisfy my customers by providing sincere advice, quality services, and sharing my passion for sport (cycling) and positive energy to meet their sporting needs

• I take care of my family of products by maintaining an appealing layout, ensuring product availability, and reliable stock reception to attract customers to return

• I maintain an efficient store by ensuring customers can access and checkout our products seamlessly

• I assure the safety of my teammates and customers at my workplace

• I take initiative for my own training and development and dare to make and take decisions

• I am a team player with like-minded teammates, ready to go the extra mile, practicing sports together and supporting the team during the busiest times (weekends and holidays)

• A people person with excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities

• Someone looking to combine a passion for sport with work through regular practice of sports

Requirements:
• Customer service oriented
• Knowledgeable about bikes and cycling
• Passionate about cycling and bicycle maintenance
• Able to advise customers on bike selection and basic maintenance
• Comfortable supporting customers in a retail sport environment

Bicycle Mechanic/ Sport Specialist Skills:
• The ability to make technical assessments of a bicycle for service.
• The ability to make clear and concise notes of the works to be done & to update database.
• The ability to execute the necessary repairs on the bicycle.
• The ability to be solution oriented in a fast paced environment.
• The ability to track time and parts used per repair process.
• Bicycle tools organisational & management skills
