Job Description

You’ll help us design and own the analytical layer of our data platform, from modeling raw data into clean, trusted datasets to delivering insights that leadership actually uses.

At Ardanis, we are currently looking for a BI Developer, for a permanent role, who is comfortable working across the full BI stack: from raw data to business-facing dashboards. This role is hands-on and technical. You’ll be building data models, shaping datasets, and delivering reporting solutions that people actually use to make decisions. You should care about data quality, performance, and clean modeling, and not just making dashboards “look good”.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions (reports, dashboards, and data models) that support operational and strategic decision-making
• Translate business requirements into scalable data models and meaningful visualizations
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes to ensure reliable and timely data availability
• Work closely with Data Engineers to improve data quality, performance, and architecture
• Partner with business stakeholders to define KPIs and ensure consistent metric definitions
• Improve existing reporting solutions, focusing on usability, performance, and maintainability
• Support data governance practices and documentation standards
• Troubleshoot data issues and proactively identify opportunities for improvement

Requirements:
• Solid experience as a BI Developer or similar role in data and analytics
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases
• Hands-on experience with at least one major BI tool (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar)
• Good understanding of data modeling concepts (star schema, snowflake schema, dimensional modeling)
• Experience working with ETL/ELT pipelines and data transformation tools
• Comfortable working with stakeholders and translating business needs into technical solutions
• Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
• Candidates must be based in Portugal or Spain
• We need this person to start ASAP

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and modern data stack tools
• Basic knowledge of Python or another scripting language
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments
