BI & DE Team Lead

We’re looking for a hands-on BI Team Leader to lead a team of BI Engineers and scale our data infrastructure. You’ll own the entire BI stack- from data modeling and pipelines to system reliability and cross-team integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on design and implementation of dimensional data models, ETL/ELT pipelines (dbt), and data production processes.

• Own data-pipeline reliability: monitoring, alerting and SLAs.

• Define and enforce team workflows: version control (Git), CI/CD for dbt projects, code reviews, documentation standards and sprint cadence.

• Drive timely execution: prioritize backlog, track deliverables, and ensure all projects meet agreed-upon deadlines.

• Establish data-quality frameworks and best practices for data testing, lineage and governance.

• Optimize performance of data models and Tableau data extracts to balance freshness and cost.

• Build and maintain core Tableau dashboards and reporting layers for cross-functional stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI or data-engineering roles, with at least 2 years leading engineers.

• Deep expertise in dbt (data modeling), SQL, and building scalable data pipelines.

• Familiarity with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift)

• Hands-on experience creating and maintaining Tableau dashboards.

• Strong software-engineering practices: Git, CI/CD, code reviews, documentation.

• Proven track record of delivering BI projects on time, with SLAs.

• Excellent communicator- able to navigate between technical depth and business clarity.

• Experience integrating machine learning models into data pipelines.

• Experience designing and building internal APIs for data access and consumption.

• Experience in gaming or other high-velocity consumer-tech environments. - Advantage
